What a gem! We were greeted by a wonderful gentleman who I assume was the owner. He was very generous and kind. Our room was just what we needed. Clean, comfortable beds, coffee maker and fridge. Bonus is that it is right next door to a wonderful Italian restaurant which happened to have a delicious buffet (Friday and Saturday)at a very reasonable price! We got there just before the rush We would definitely stay here again!
This time our room was much nicer than what I remembered from last time I stayed. They are obviously always putting in work. The place is well kept. It's nice that they have picnic benches and flowers. The rooms are well thought through and clean. The mattresses were very comfortable!! They are not the most sound proof, and there is traffic sound as it's right on the highway. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. We will be back.
I've had an great experience staying at the Holiday Motel. The owner is extremely nice and welcoming. Upon walking into the room you can smell and see how clean the room is. The bed is clean and comfy, the ac works great and the shower is hot. You can tell they take alot of pride in running their motel. If I'm ever back in Sault Ste Marie I'll definitely be back and I will also recommend my friends and family to stay here!
This place is perfectly fantastic. Everything is great, from the staff who are so kind and helpful, even giving recommendations, to the linen absolutely fresh and clean, and not to forget it is really spit spot clean. When we booked, we made a mistake and chose a room for one person. They emailed us asking for precisions but our answer bounced back to us. When we got here, they explained to mistake, but found a way to make sure we'd have a room nonetheless. Talk about being helpful and mindful for their customers!! They went beyond what would have been considered "their job"!! So, thank you for that, you guys are the best!! Plus, each time we saw someone of the staff, they asked if all was well, if we needed anything. I recommend this motel. It is amazing. If you pass through Sault Ste Marie, come here, you won't be disappointed!! I know I will!
I had a wonderful stay at Holiday motel! The renovated room is modern and comfortable, and the new bed and mattress provided a great night's sleep. The bathroom was spotless, and I appreciated the daily housekeeping that kept everything fresh. The new heat pump with a digital temperature display made it easy to adjust the room to my comfort. Plus, the wi-fi was reliable, and the price was very affordable. Overall, an excellent stay- I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone.
When travelling a distance it's hard to pick on line places to stay. well we picked a gem in this place. So welcoming, friendly , clean , comfy. I could go on. very close to highway.. We stayed there on our way to Calgary and booked again on our way back..To us it was a 5 star all the way around...

This little hotel is very clean, reasonably priced and perfect for short term stays. Staff were very courteous and accommodating. Renovations have been done to this little motel, which makes it a great value for your money. It was comfortable And had everything we needed.
We arrived after 10 PM, even though the check-in time was from 3 to 10 PM. Despite the late hour, the front desk staff was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond, staying an extra hour just to help us check in. He was friendly, cooperative, and clearly knows how to run a hospitality business! The property itself was spotless, with a great atmosphere that made us feel right at home. It was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained — everything we needed for a relaxing stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone passing through Thunder Bay, whether you're heading west or east. It's the perfect stopover! There's really nothing major to dislike, the staff, cleanliness, and overall experience exceeded our expectations. Will definitely stay here again on future trips!
